Professor at the Faculty of Education at Unicamp (1995), got the title of Associate Professor in Education (1988) and PhD and MS in Psychology at the Psychology Institute of USP in 1972 and 1976. She is a graduate in Psychology from Universidade Mogi das Cruzes and a degree in education from the Faculty of Philosophy, Sciences and Letters of Sponsorship Nossa Senhora de Itu. Worked as a visiting scientist at the Max Planck Institude for Human Development and Education in Berlin, Germany, in 1994 and 1998. Introduced the lifespan paradigm in psychology and gerontology in Brazil. Her research interests in the fields of Psychology of Aging and Gerontology include: psychological well-being, mechanisms of self-regulation of the self, attitudes toward aging and lifespan paradigm.
