Scholarship of Research Productivity CNPq - Level 2. Graduated in Biological Sciences (Molecular Biology) and Ph.D. in Medical Sciences (Physiology) by  Universidad de Buenos Aires. He is currently Associate Professor of Internal Medicine (Neurology) at Universidade Católica do Estado do Rio Grande do Sul, conducts research in the areas of molecular biology, neurophysiology and neuropharmacology with an emphasis on the study of biochemical processes resulting from learning. To date he has published 13 chapters in specialized books and 97 scientific articles in international journals indexed which were cited 1356 times according to the system SCOPUS and 1387 times according to the ISI, having an index h= 22.
