Mônica Rodrigues Perracini
She graduated in Physiotherapy by Universidade de  São Paulo (1987), got her masters degree in Education from Universidade Estadual de Campinas (1994) with specialization in Developmental Psychology - PhD in Gerontology and Rehabilitation with specialization in Geriatrics and Gerontology, Universidade Federal de São Paulo (2000). In 1992 participated in the short course “Implications on Aging” at the London School of Hygiene and Tropical Medicine with the British Council Scholarship. She is currently professor and coordinator of the Masters in Physical Therapy of the Universidade Cidade de Sao Paulo- UNICID, and develops activities for teaching the undergraduate course in Physiotherapy UNICID. She teaches the discipline of Geriatrics and Gerontology UNIFESP and Gerontology at UNICAMP. She has experience in Physical Therapy and Occupational Therapy, with emphasis in gerontology, acting on the following topics: the elderly, dizziness, balance and falls. She is part of the Research Network FIBER - Profiles of Fragility in the Elderly approved by edict MCT-CNPq MS-SCTIE-DECIT/no. 17/2006. By 2009 became a member of the Board of the International Association of Gerontology and Geriatrics, IAGG (Treasurer) and member of the organizing committee of IAGG XIX World Congress of Gerontology and Geriatrics to be held in 2009 - Paris. She is a member of the editorial board of the International Journal of Experimental Clinical and Behavioral Gerontology.
